Dog & Cat Vaccinations

Vaccination Schedule for Dogs:

The C3 vaccination protects canines against Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus. We recommend vaccinating puppies with a C3 vaccination at 6 weeks, 9 weeks and 12 weeks of age, again a year later, and after that every 6 years (if they don’t go into boarding kennels). However if you plan to place your dog into boarding kennels, he/she will need a C5 vaccination annually (as per the boarding kennel requirements). A C5 vaccination covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parinfluenza and Bordetella.

Vaccination Schedule for Cats:

The F3 vaccination protects felines against Infectious Enteritis, Herpesvirus and Cat Flu. We recommend vaccinating kittens with a F3 vaccination at 8 weeks and 12 weeks of age, again a year later, and after that every 6 years (however if they go into boarding kennels they will need to have annual vaccinations). The FIV vaccination (Feline Aids) is an additional vaccine that is given to cats that go outdoors and is given initially as 3 vaccination injections 2-3 weeks apart and then once a year.
